Hello Reader, In my work as an herbalist, I have observed over and over two distinct human longings for… 💚 A sense of belonging🌿 A sense of life purposeI marvel at how my childhood plant crush grew into a passion and then settled into a lifelong love affair. Whenever I feel I am losing my sense of self, perhaps from too much time on the internet or too much stress in my work, the plants bring me back. The plants fill me with a desire to serve my community. I found my purpose. I can see the trail clearly, now that it is behind me.I went on an herb walk and fell in love with plant medicine. I voraciously learned all I could on my own. Then, when that didn’t satisfy me, I attended the New England Women’s Herbal Conference every summer. I found my tribe. Next week, the tents go up, teachers arrive, and on Friday, Sept. 18, nearly 200 women will gather to celebrate the plants.
